Words of Peace

Peace. Truth. Fulfillment. Joy.

Are those nice ideas? Or can I feel those things?

www.wordsofpeace.org

What is presented is not about a lifestyle, philosophy, religion or beliefs. It’s also not about following someone, except perhaps your own self in the nicest way possible.

For those who want to learn practical techniques for discovering what exists within a human being, there is a self-paced preparation process on DVD, free of charge.

Something More…

“Nothing is sweet or easy about community.

Community is a fellowship of people who do not hide their joys and sorrows but make them visible to each other…”

Lily Dipper

A ‘lily dipper’ in a multi-person canoe is someone who looks, from the outside, as if they are paddling like everyone else, though they’re just going through the motions of real work.

It’s important that each paddler carry their own weight by digging into the water long and hard; otherwise, someone else on the team has to carry it for them.

Punctuation

Basting that holds the fabric of language in shape.

Punctuation marks are the traffic signals of language: they tell us to slow down, notice this, take a detour, and stop.

Re Twitter:

“I agree that Twitter is on track to become an indispensable service. In April I said, “Twitter is becoming an Internet utility,” and meant it. Twitter is still a relatively small service, but users are averaging at least 15 twitter messages per day, meaning they are highly engaged. If they can get the platform stable, I believe they will eventually become as ubiquitous as email, instant messaging, sms and other forms of communication.”

Characteristics of a Grateful Life

A life of gratitude is composed of three parts that combine to make a whole.

1. A sense of purpose in our lives

2. An appreciation for the lives of those around us

3. A willingness to take action to show the gratitude we feel

Zen Habits

“ However ‘civilized,’ however much brought up in an artificially contrived environment, we all seem to have an innate longing for primitive simplicity, close to the natural state of living. „
